Friday Favorites

Tomato Sauce

(Never in a million years will you find a better tomato sauce or a better can for it to come in)

I had one of those weeks where everything just seemed to go right, aside from the curling iron meets hand incident on Thursday.

Don’t get me wrong, clearly I have those weeks, sometimes even months, where everything goes the exact opposite, but for whatever reason the stars happened to align for me over these past few days. From outfit choices and hair styles to fun projects happening at work, this particular Friday is starting off on a good note, not to mention it’s Memorial Day! I’m hoping this positive trend blends seamlessly into the three-day weekend ahead.

To ensure that it does, I’ll be doing a whole lot of nothing on my own time. I have big plans, I mean huge plans, to schedule a much needed manicure and pedicure appointment. I might even squeeze a jog in along the canal one of these afternoons. Eh, and perhaps I’ll finally get around to organizing the closet, speaking of much needed. Either way, you can definitely count on some shopping happening. I mean, c’mon! A girl needs a few new sundresses for these scorching summer temperatures.

On Monday, when work will not be happening, Andrew and I will instead be venturing out to Schnepf Farms, this time for peach picking rather than pumpkin. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be eating nothing but peach this and peach that for days on end. Seriously. I’ll be posting a couple recipes on The Stiles Files soon, so stay tuned!

What are your big plans for the holiday? Are you traveling anywhere exciting? Whatever you do, be safe and have a blast!

Wood Door

(I never realized how hard shopping for a headboard would actually be)

(I’m already in love with the latest addition to our new office)

Bread

(Delicious, homemade bread ready to take home for our first grill out of the season)
