Madison and Rayne

Salad #2

I’m going to let you in on a secret.

Whenever I hit the gym, the first thing I do is flip to the cooking channel. I can’t quite pinpoint the reason why. Perhaps it’s because it motivates me to run faster so I can therefore eat more. It could also be the effortlessness of it all. Think about it for a second: these well-dressed, in-shape, beautiful chefs stand in their perfectly tidy kitchen, throw together a bunch of colorful ingredients, and then bam! They’ve just whipped up a healthy and delicious meal at the touch of hand. Here’s the catch, though. Prior to filming, their entourage has already measured, marinated, washed, chopped, sliced, diced, and assembled every last thing, but in case you haven’t noticed, that’s not real life. I’ll tell you what is.

Five days out of the week, Andrew and I are working until 5:00pm – sometimes even later. Of course there’s the commute home, which can take another 20 to 30 minutes, followed by a quick workout session. Once that’s said and done, the only thing we want to do is plop on the couch and watch a movie together, but there’s a problem here. How do you fit dinner into the equation and, even more so, how do you make it fast, easy, and nutritious?

Luckily, we’ve found just the solution for our busy schedules. Madison and Rayne combines personal shopper, personal assistant, and personal delivery into one, easy-to-use service. Minimal preparation, as well as minimal cleaning, means that your valuable time is spent cooking and enjoying a meal because let’s face it. Lunch and dinner should fit seamlessly into your everyday life. It’s important to note that this Chicago-based company sources many of their meats, vegetables, and grains from local farms in the surrounding area while also maintaining a strong focus on organic, sustainable products. As a result, new meals are created monthly based on what’s currently in season. Plus, with everything having been laid out beforehand, all you need to do is toss it into a hot pan. How great is that? They even offer vegetarian and food allergy substitutes.

You’ll notice throughout the pictures that Andrew and I opted for their cumin chicken salad as a lunch dish and their braised brisket as a dinner dish. Let me tell you, they were both absolutely incredible. Great news! Now you can join in on the meal. Just visit their website, select your sides and entrees, and then the Madison and Rayne team will have your food delivered in a multi-purpose thermal bag by Tuesday. Bon appétit, readers!
