I’m officially a quarter of a century old.

Someone recently asked me how I felt about that and to be perfectly honest, I feel fantastic. For whatever reason, I just love the way twenty-five rolls off the tongue. This is a solid age and one that, at least in my mind, still symbolizes the eagerness of youth blended with the wisdom of maturity. It really is incredible to look back at all that I’ve learned and, as a result, all that I’ve accomplished since reaching my twenties. Yet, what excites me more is everything that lies ahead. Needless to say, it’s going to be a hell of a year and I’ve never felt more confident in my ability to tackle it.

To celebrate, Andrew and I will be heading to Des Moines tomorrow after work to meet up with my best friend and matron of honor, Jillian, as well as her husband, Michael, for a jam-packed weekend of wedding planning. Don’t worry, we’ll still fit in time for some dinner and drinks. Cheers!
