Today is my birthday.
It was just two years ago that I was celebrating a much quieter version of this day with Andrew, downing wine by the bottle at one of our now favorite pizza places, Grazie. As a recent college graduate, I hadn’t started work yet and, of course at that point, the restaurant we were seated at was simply an accidental find in our neighborhood. I knew nothing of Arizona or anyone, for that matter. It was just the two of us.
Since then, a lot has happened. There’s been three moves, two jobs, a handful of unbelievable road trips, and a collection of exciting projects, one of them being this blog that you’re currently reading. Sandwiched in between all of those events have been countless memories; memories made with new friends and memories I couldn’t possibly forget. I wake up every morning grateful for where my life has taken me and, more importantly, for the people that have been there every step of the way. Flipping another chapter and turning twenty-four has only made me realize this more.
Today is my birthday and today I’ll be celebrating with my friends.
